An Adjoining Owner essentially has three options:
With the first option above, you will be required to sign an acknowledgement form, which is then forwarded on to building owner and essentially forms your agreement to the works progressing with no further imput. With either of options 2 or 3 a dispute is said to have arisen and each owner must appoint a suitably qualified and experienced party wall surveyor so that a Party Wall Award can be agreed.
